Anemia is a condition in which the number of red blood cells decreases, especially Hemoglobin. Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2011 showed that 273.2 million children had anemia and as many as 9.6 million had severe anemia, and hemoglobin levels were below the average value for the child's age. The effects of anemia symptoms can cause children to become weak and lazy and have no enthusiasm for activities. The purpose of the Hemoglobin (Hb) examination is to provide information about Hemoglobin levels and the importance of Hemoglobin examinations in children with symptoms of weakness, fatigue and lethargy. The methods used are counseling, discussion, and Hemoglobin examination. The results obtained from the examination of 21 children were that for the gender category, there were more females with a total of 15 children (71.43%) compared to males with a total of 6 children (28.57%). The results of the Hb examination were obtained for the category 6-59 months, Hb levels were less than 11 g/dl for 3 children (14.3%) and Hb levels above 11 g/dl for 3 children (14.3%). For the category of children, 5-11 years who had Hb levels less than 11.5 g/dl were 12 children (57.1%) and above 11.5 g/dl were 3 children (14.3%). These results indicate that there are still many children who have Hb levels below the reference value. It is hoped that parents of participants will be able to understand the risk of anemia and its prevention.
