Abstract

Work motivation of workers to carry out a project is an important aspect that plays a big role in the success of the project being worked on and true motivation can be built on individuals, one of which is by fulfilling their desires. In the realm of work, low motivation can have implications for the performance of workers. This research aims to determine the level of need that influences the motivation of the construction foreman and to analyze the motivational factors that affect the motivation of the construction foreman. The method used in this study was to submit a questionnaire to 15 foremen who were used as respondents for the construction project research in Pangkep, followed by carrying out interview sessions with three or four foremen. Referring to the research results, it was found that 5 factors motivated the motivation of construction project foremen in Pangkep Regency in general, namely: Of the 23 factors, it is known that there are 5 factors that are most commonly encountered and have a large influence, namely: (1) adequate wages/salaries, ( 2) good workplace facilities, (3) accuracy of receiving wages, (4) good relations between workers, (5) delivery of good work instructions.
